Makeup and Hair ~
We went in to start makeup and hair and they did what I wanted with reference to the photos that I have sent them. ALL the staff were Japanese, except the translator. Thank god for her, if not we will be lost in translation. lol. I have decided in my mind that the Kimono outfit i want to have an updo and the western gown to be half updo. that best complements my face shape and the outfits. The makeup and hair done for the kimono in 1-1.5 hours. They were honestly very fast, one person do makeup one person do hair. speeds up the process. So normally when i go bare faced, the first thing mua will see is the dark circles, so she used the corrector and lots of concealor to cover up my udereye, with no skincare base, so it creased abit. Granted that they used majority Shu products, the air in Japan was so unbelievably dry, my makeup still cracked abit at the lines area. I decided to go ahead with their makeup style cause that is what I wanted, following their style for the most authentic experience for this prewedding shoot. Makeup was alright as they used my own lashes and here is the done up look.

My lovely MUA and Hairstylist :) and her dropdead gorgeous hairpiece.

Highlight of the prep work, wearing the kimono~
I have a full video of it but I will just upload the final photo to spare u the looooong process and the thousands of layers she wore for me.
Dont get me wrong, the kimono is so exquisite, elegant and simply stunning. Every part of this outfit was hand made. Looking close up at the art they have on the sleeves, the gold thread, the flowers the everything. woahhhhhh damn grand and luxurious I swear. (photo below)

This is the inner layer that is wrapped slowly to build the foundation of the entire outfit. Even the flower patterns on my chest area was customized and handpicked by the professionals.

After dressing up, you can barely move but to sit down and maximum drink some water. LOL.

The translator highlight to me that actually in their culture, the nape of the neck is the most beautiful and sexy part of a woman, thus everything is covered and only this part is exposed deliberately .

SO GORGEOUS I KNOW RIGHT. SO DAMN IN AWE AT THE BEAUTY OF THIS OUTFIT, more so the effort to put it on. It took them 20-30 mins to get the entire outfit done properly.

*inserts another selfie*
Moving about in this outfit.... As much as I loveeeeeeddddd how it looked on me, there were unspoken difficulties. It was seriously heavy, VERY HEAVY and weighing me down alot. I could barely breathe, walk or even smile properly. The translator did inform me beforehand it can be quite a strain on my body. It was more heavy than tight honestly. But no regrets cause the photo turned out so beautiful I wanna cry. So after dressing up, we set off, I was walking in snail steps honestly, and every step of the way, J was there to give me support ( literally) The photographer tried to talk to me, making small talk helped alot actually, but my face was just =.=. HHAHHAH. the MUA that helped me kept asking me "are you okay" in Japanese. Maybe cause I looked very xingku, tbh I was, can barely function properly cause my body was like being weigh down by the outfit.
On the brighter note, we were congratulated by so many of the Japanese ladies at the Garden, I couldn't reply them so I just smiled. The shoot was pretty smooth and sailing cause the photographer knew exactly where to take what to take the angle the props everything. Which is what i wanted, not having to think, just a blank mind and just pose. :)

Let's not forget my partner, who got ready soooo much faster than me. The MUA went to do his hair and trim his brows as well. LOL. A first for him.
Changing to the Second Outfit~
So after the photoshoot at the garden we headed back, it was around 3pm. We had smth to bite in between and went toilet, the next round of dolling up for the white gown started. I choose a empire cut gown cause it complements my body shape and I will probably never wear a ballgown ever again so I went ahead with this.
The place we are shooting was majestic so I wanted a grand gown to match his suit and the background. And cause my feet was very big, they only had one pair of shoe for me, which I'm fine with cause they look so cute and dainty. The design is just a simple white pair of heels.
My only regret was to wear the inner skirt (one that poofs up the skirt and has volume), cause I look quite big like that, but it did help me walk alot faster and was more convenient. :)

As my hairdo was a half updo, the MUA suggested tiara instead of flowers so I took her advice. Actually this entire experience I just took their advice cause I was, at the later part of the day, too tired to even think lol. The only comment I made was to stop the MUA from putting on orange lipgloss ( btw they all use gloss cause they love the shiny effect) and used my own gloss instead. Actually throughout the entire trip in Japan I only used my coco rouge gloss 738, and it went well with the look.

I opted for simple tiara and small earrings cause I think my gown is huge enough. and no gloves.

Moving to the shoot location~
So it was raining quite heavily, like big droplets and drizzling, but we still went on with everything.
The rain drops did however, provide a special and romantic effect that I loveeeeeeeeee and was beautifully captured in the photos. Really need to give credits to the photographer, his photos are sooooo good.
We went ahead to try out different shots like at the telephone booth, on the streets with an umbrella, and all that. He also had creative shots like asking J to carry me in the middle of a road. lol. And risk himself getting killed getting this gorgeous shot for us. (below)
This was the exact shot that pushed me to choose this venue.

After the shoot, we went back and change back into our own clothes. Reviewed the photos and totally LOVED IT. Tbh, I would take the photos even without editing, they were so good already. After the entire day of shooting, we were so tired but so glad that we went ahead to do this shoot even though it was quite costly. *no regrets*
The experience was amazing. Really good, not only the photos exceeded my expectations, it was a totally different style from the local photographers, which is what I wanted. Original Japanese feels. J enjoyed the shoot too, and I loved how he made sure that we both had individual portraits taken in both outfits.
This is what everyone is waiting for, the final photos!
Just to clarify, I have hundreds of photos, But I will only share some here for privacy reasons.

If you click and zoom in closely into the two photos above, the rain drops made the entire feel so damn romantic. I loved it. OMG I'm so in awe how come the photos can turn out so good. *cries in happiness*

My individual photo - SO IN LOVE MAN~

My very strong hubby heheheh... and the photo below looks like an advert for the watch LOL.

Love the individual photos he took for us!
Here is an honest review about this entire team
and the overall experience~
" Let me begin with the fact that my photos turned out so satisfactory I can't wait to share them with my family and loved ones. When I first started communicating with the staff at DE&Co. Wedding Photography, I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating they were to my requests and inquiries. All questions raised by me were answered with great care, in terms of professionalism, they were really top notch. Not only did they cater the best package to my needs, from budget, to style, to suggesting locations, even to the smallest detail in my last minute change of photo shoot dates, they rendered help at no extra costs.
All of the above was done prior to us meeting them in Japan, and when we landed into Japan, the 2 days of photo shoot literally flew by. I have no words but full of praises for the team at Studio TVB Kobe, they were very efficient, quick and extremely professional. I had no issues communicating with the Japanese team thanks to the awesome translator that never left my side (Thank you Asta!).
The photos turned out so beautiful, I want to thank Mr Rei Kinoshita and his Professional team from the deepest part of my heart. The makeup artist were very detailed and listened to exactly what i wanted, the epitome of customized service. Not forgetting Ms Yasuha Ito that took all the time and effort to make sure my album looks perfect before they sent it out to me in Singapore. As a non- Japanese, having the honour to dress in a wedding kimono and having photographs taken in Japan was an absolute dream come true and most probably the best decision I made in my Wedding planning.
To be very honest, I'm so glad I gave myself a chance to trust an overseas team to take care of my wedding photo shoot, and they sure did put my heart at ease throughout the entire journey. I cannot recommend them enough, from the bottom of my heart, A big thank you to the team at Studio TVB Kobe. Thank you all who rendered help and assistance to me and my fiance! I highly suggest this wedding studio in Kobe, so you can enjoy the most pure, untainted part of Kobe, with the best team to create beautiful pictures and memories. Thank you for providing me with the best experience and not only meeting, but exceeding my expectations, above and beyond everything I have ever wished for."
Thats all I have to say, it was an absolute dream come true for the both of us. So glad it all turned out great and Thank you to the team that gave us this wonderful experience. Lots of lovely memories to be cherished.
A big thank you to my Photographer Mr Rei Kinoshita. you were worth every cent of my money HAHHHAH. I loved everything. thank you so much.
Love,
Wing
